Manitoba Moose News Release
Goals:
- During a scramble out front of the Moose net Adam Payerl beats Connor Hellebuyck with a wrist shot at 3:17 of the second period.
- Pontus Aberg works the puck back and forth with Patrick Mullen and Aberg takes a hard slap shot that beats Hellbuyck on the powerplay at 15:56 of the second period.
- Following a deflection on a Jansen Harkins shot the puck comes to Brandon Denham, who takes a hard wrist shot beating Juuse Saros on the powerplay at 3:42 of the third period.
- While on the powerplay, Patrick Mullen works the puck down low to Max Gortz who puts it past Helleubuyck with a wrist shot at 8:13 of the third period.
- With the goaltender pulled, John Albert takes a slap shot from the blue line that is tipped in front by Chase De Leo and beats Saros at 18:13 of the third period.
- Kevin Fiala goes in alone and scores on a Moose empty net with 59 seconds remaining in the third period.
Highlights/Notes:
- Jansen Harkins and Brendan Lemieux made their AHL debuts. Harkins had an assist to record his first career AHL point. Lemieux finished third on the team in shots with three and had two penalty minutes.
- Brandon Denham scored his first career AHL goal in his fourth career game with the Moose.
- With an assist Andrew MacWilliam now has four assists in his last six games.
- Chase De Leo tied Scott Kosmachuk for the team lead in goals with 17.
- Dan DeSalvo extended his point streak to three games with an assist. In 12 games with the Moose he now has three goals and five assists for eight points.
- Manitoba's powerplay has now scored at least one goal in six out of their last seven games.
- The Moose gave up a powerplay goal for the first time since Mar. 19. They had gone a perfect 19-for-19 over the previous six games.
- The Moose still lead the season series against the Admirals with a 4-2-0-1 record.
The Moose will host the Milwaukee Admirals to wrap up their season series on Wednesday, Apr. 6 at the MTS Centre at 7 p.m.
