Mammoth Teaming With Outlaws For Memorial Tournament
DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth and Denver Outlaws have announced that they will work together for the first time in the teams' histories this September. The partnership involves the planning and execution of the Colin L. Cassidy Memorial Lacrosse Tournament, which will be held on Saturday, September 12 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. Colin Cassidy drowned in Vail, CO on June 28 while attending the Vail Shootout.
"This tournament is about bringing the entire Colorado lacrosse community together to support the Cassidy family," said Mammoth president and general manager Steve Govett. "We're excited to be working with the Outlaws to achieve this mission."
The tournament is open to the public and free to attend. Highlights of the event include Mammoth and Outlaws player clinics, a police versus firefighters' game, and dance instruction from the Outlaws dance team.
"The Denver Outlaws are proud to be a part of the Colin L. Cassidy Memorial Lacrosse Tournament, honoring Colin's memory," said Outlaws president Mac Freeman. "We encourage everyone inside and outside of our lacrosse family to help support the Cassidy's by participating in the event."
