DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth didn't arrive in Denver until Sunday afternoon following a visit to Saskatchewan the night before. The team scored just six goals - its lowest output of the season - in a four-goal loss to the Vancouver Stealth on Sunday evening at Pepsi Center.
Forward Jeremy Noble had one goal and two assists to lead the team with three points in his return to the line-up following a seven-week hiatus due to injury. He was one of six Mammoth goal-scorers.
Cam Holding set another single-game career-high with 16 loose balls, and now leads the League with 118; he also scored his first goal of the year. Dan Coates won 15 of 19 face-offs, and scored his third goal in 2017.
Dillon Ward was given the night off. Alex Buque allowed just nine goals - Vancouver also scored an empty-netter late in the fourth - while making 28 saves in his first start this season.
Stealth forward Rhys Duch led all players with four tallies. Former Colorado goaltender Tye Belanger recorded the win for Vancouver.
Colorado visits Toronto on Friday for the team's third game in seven games. Face-off is at 5:30pm MDT.
