Mallards Unveil Season-Opening Roster

MOLINE, Ill. - The Quad City Mallards have unveiled a 21-player roster for the start of the team's twentieth regular season, the Mallards announced today.

The Mallards' season-opening active roster consists of twelve forwards, six defensemen, one forward/defenseman and two goaltenders. Forward Chris Francis has been placed on bereavement leave and thus is not currently on the active roster.

Forwards: Grant Arnold, Brady Brassart, Connor Brown, Nelson Gadoury, Pavel Jenys, Justin Kovacs, Nolan LaPorte, Jack Nevins, Michael Parks, Alex Petan, Nathan Todd, Sam Warning

Defensemen: Jayce Coyle, Kevin Gibson, Alex Gudbranson, Donnie Harris, Mike Monfredo, Andrew Panzarella

Forward/Defenseman: Kyle Follmer

Goaltenders: C.J. Motte, Adam Vay

Six Mallards (Brassart, Follmer, Gibson, Gudbranson, Monfredo and Warning) return after playing for the club last season.

Francis and Monfredo are the Mallards' two veterans- players with better than 260 games of professional experience. Nine rookies start the season on the Mallards' roster: Arnold, Brown, Gadoury, Jenys, LaPorte, Parks, Petan, Todd and Vay.

The Mallards will open their twentieth season in the Quad Cities tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m. against the Fort Wayne Komets at the iWireless Center. Single game tickets for all regular season home games- including the opener- are now available.
