Majors Announce Hiring

TORONTO, ON (April 10, 2006) - The Toronto St. Michael's Majors are pleased to announce the hiring of Greg Kelly as the club's new Marketing & Sales Director. The previous occupant of the role, Chris Hartery, has moved on to a new venture. As a result, Greg will be responsible for the team's sales initiatives as well as the procurement of new corporate partners.

Kelly, a former St. Michael's College School graduate, possesses an extensive hockey and sales background. He has held the positions of Assistant Manager, Community Relations for The Consumers Gas Company Ltd., Vice-President, Sales with Sports Groups International, Director of Marketing at the Viceroy Reliable Group and Coach/General Manager for Sweden's Vallentuna Hockey Club. As a result, he has garnered experience in marketing and sales, fundraising, public relations and communications.

"We're very happy that Greg has decided to join our team," stated Duncan Stauth, Majors Executive Vice-President. "His impressive background, combined with his passion for hockey, should help the organization reach new heights in marketing and sales as we head into the 2006-07 season."
