Syracuse, NY - The Federal Hockey League announced today that Port Huron Prowlers forward Ahmed Mahfouz has been selected as the Pro Hockey News Player of the Month for December.

Mahfouz tallied 6 goals and 23 assists for 29 points in 11 games for Port Huron during the month.

Port Huron put together a 8-0-0-3 record with Mahfouz in the line up, and Mahfouz finding the scoresheet in all but two contests. He recorded multiple point games in nine of eleven contests with his best effort coming during 7-5 win over the Dayton Demolition where he recorded five assists with a +2 rating.

A six year pro, the 26-year-old Mahfouz is currently leading the FHL in scoring with 13 goals, 35 assists for 48 points and a plus/minus of +22.

In recognition of his achievement, Mahfouz will be presented with a gift from Pro Hockey News.
