Ohio Machine News Release

ROCHESTER, NY - The Ohio Machine had their three-game winning streak snapped on Thursday night at the Aquinas Institute in Rochester, falling 13-9. The Rattlers and Machine traded the first eight goals of the game before Jeremy Boltus scored three consecutive goals for Rochester to give them a lead they would not relinquish.

Ohio scored two goals in 14 seconds at the end of the first half and trailed by two at halftime. They closed the gap to one in the third quarter on Cockerton's third goal of the night, but the Rattlers answered with the first four goals of the fourth quarter to pull away.

Tom Schreiber led Ohio with two goals and three assists, including his 50th career MLL goal. Mark Cockerton tallied three goals against his former team, and Marcus Holman added two goals and an assist for the Machine. Scott Rodgers played all 60 minutes in goal and made 15 saves to keep the visitors in the game. Ohio was without midfielder Kyle Harrison, who did not play due to a leg injury.

John Galloway made 21 saves in net to lead the way for Rochester. Ned Crotty earned six points (2 goals, 4 assists), and Boltus tallied four goals to pace the Rattlers offensively.

The Machine return to action on Saturday against the Florida Launch at 7:30pm at Panther Stadium. The game will air live on ESPN3 and will re-air on Lax Sports Network at 11:00pm.
