Machine and US Lacrosse Team up for Coaches Convention

COLUMBUS, OHIO (October 13, 2015) - The Ohio Machine and US Lacrosse have teamed up for the upcoming Ohio Machine Coaches Convention Presented by US Lacrosse, it was announced today by Machine Vice President & Head Coach Bear Davis. US Lacrosse joins the Machine in a multi-year partnership supporting the team's annual Coaches Convention.

"We are thrilled to welcome US Lacrosse as a partner of our Coaches Convention," Davis said. "To have US Lacrosse share our vision in educating coaches at all levels helps to put a stamp on the work we are doing with our Coaches Convention. At the end of the day, the most important thing is that we continue to develop the best possible lacrosse coaches and we couldn't be happier to have US Lacrosse supporting that goal."

The 2015 Ohio Machine Coaches Convention Presented by US Lacrosse will take place on Saturday, December 5 at the Nationwide Hotel & Conference Center. The Convention is open to coaches of all level across the men's, women's and youth levels.

Dara Robbins, Coaching Education Program Manager at US Lacrosse, believes the 2015 Ohio Machine Coaches Convention will fuel the long-term positive growth of the sport by helping establish a culture where annual coach training is status quo.

"US Lacrosse believes we have a responsibility to facilitate the long-term professional development of coaches at all levels," Robbins said. "We actively look for opportunities to support those who are already doing the right things to make a lasting, positive impact in their local region. Through this partnership, we are looking forward to supporting the growth of the sport in central Ohio and beyond."

As part of the partnership, US Lacrosse will offer CEO credit for USL coach-members currently on the certification path.
