MacDonald Named to AHL First All-Star Team

BINGHAMTON, NY - The American Hockey League announced today that defenseman Jacob MacDonald was selected to the 2017-18 AHL First All-Star Team, as voted by AHL coaches, players and media in each of the league's 30 member cities.
MacDonald, 25, currently leads AHL defensemen with 19 goals, 10 power-play goals, and is tied in overall points with 52 in his first full AHL season. MacDonald was selected to the 2018 AHL All-Star Classic earlier this season and leads the Binghamton Devils with 33 assists, 52 points, and 10 power-play goals.
MacDonald played his first full professional season with the Elmira Jackals in 2015-16 and was named to the ECHL's All-Rookie Team with 37 points (17 goals, 20 assists) in 72 games played. Prior to his professional career, MacDonald spent four years at Cornell University and two seasons with the United States Hockey League's Waterloo Black Hawks.
