Lynx Partner with Lift Kids to Host United World Campaign at Target Center

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - In celebration of Minnesota's diverse and unique culture, the Minnesota Lynx today announced a partnership with Lift Kids, Inc., a Minnesota-based non-profit organization, to host the Lift Kids United World Campaign on Sunday, May 23, 2010. The day-long celebration will feature youth performances, videos, guest appearances, informational booths, artists, workshops, music, dance; culminating with the Lynx vs. Tulsa game at 6:00 pm. Lift Kids, Inc. focuses on finding sustainable solutions to end global poverty.

"We're very proud to join Lift Kids in its mission to empower the youth of today," said Lynx Chief Operating Officer Conrad Smith. "We're honored to be able to host such a worthy and commendable event and we welcome the entire Twin Cities community to join us in our celebration of Minnesota's diverse and unique culture."

The Lift Kids United World Campaign, which includes educational workshops and cultural performances, will provide youth a unique cultural opportunity to stand up, to unite, to "be the change" and to Lift Kids out of starvation and poverty all around the world. The day-long celebration will run from 12:00 - 9:00 PM on Sunday, May 23, 2010, on Target Center's main floor, concourse and hospitality suites. All Lift Kids United World Campaign tickets are priced at $10, and include entrance to all cultural performances and the Lynx vs. Tulsa game.
