ERIE, Pa. - Behind three solo home runs, including two by Jordan Luplow, the Altoona Curve defeated the Erie SeaWolves, 3-2, on Monday afternoon at UPMC Park.

The Curve (27-21) took three of four in the road series against the SeaWolves (21-26).

Luplow broke 2-2 tie with a solo homer, his tenth of the season, against Mike Zagurski (Loss, 2-1) in the top of the eighth inning.

Luplow hit his first home run of the day in the third inning to plate the first run of the day against Erie starter Myles Jaye.

The SeaWolves took the lead with a two-run homer by Zack Cox in the bottom of the fourth inning, but the Curve answered back with a solo home run by Kevin Kramer to tie the score in the top of the fifth.

Miguel Rosario (Win 3-1) worked 2.2 scoreless innings, pitching around two hits and a walk and striking out two. Sean Keselica (Save, 2) pitched a 1-2-3 ninth to cap 2.1 scoreless frames with three strikeouts.

The Curve had just four hits in the game, with three of them being the solo homers. The other was a single by Jerrick Suiter in the sixth inning.

Starter Alex McRae tossed four innings and allowed two runs on seven hits with a walk and three strikeouts.

Riding a three-game winning streak, the Curve return home to open a three-game series against the Akron RubberDucks on Tuesday night. Lefty Brandon Waddell (0-2, 4.29) will be on the mound for the Curve, opposed by Akron left-hander Thomas Pannone.

The first 1,000 fans will receive a Montana DuRapau All-Time Saves Leader magnet giveaway presented by the Pennsylvania Lottery, commemorating his new franchise record set back on May 19 at PNG Field. It will also be Two-for-Tuesday, presented by Atlantic Broadband, with buy-one, get-one-free specials on tickets, hot dogs and small popcorn.
