Joe DeCarlo started the second inning by lining a single to left and moved to second on an error, giving Clinton a runner in scoring position with no outs. After moving to third base on ground out, DeCarlo came home to score on a two out single off the bat of Martin Peguero, upping the LumberKings lead to 3-0.

LumberKings starter, Tyler Herb (6-8) started off the game by retiring the first eight hitters he faced before rendering a two out bloop single to right off the bat of Trever Allen. Bees' catcher Taylor Ward was able to extend his hitting streak to six games, beating out a softly hit ground ball to third for an infield single in the fourth inning. Herb would keep the Bees off the scoreboard for five innings, scattering three hits, striking out a pair.

Clinton got to Robichaux one more time when Estarlyn Morales slugged his fifth home run of the season, a solo shot to left, upping the LumberKings lead to 4-0 in the sixth inning.
