Lumberjacks Welcome Colby Bukes

MUSKEGON, MI - The Muskegon Lumberjacks are excited to announce that they have acquired defenseman Colby Bukes and Chicago Steel's 4th round Phase One draft pick in exchange for Graham Lillibridge and Muskegon Lumberjacks 6th round Phase One draft pick.

Bukes, a native of Littleton, Colorado, spent last season playing for the Colorado Thunderbirds U16 in the T1EHL. The defenseman scored eight goals and notched 23 assists for a total of 31 points in 32 games this season, the most of any defenseman in the T1EHL. Bukes also played two games as an affiliate player for the Chicago Steel, registering one shot on goal. The 1999 birth year was Chicago's second round pick in the 2015 USHL Phase One Draft.

Lillibridge was the Muskegon Lumberjacks tender last season, and in 47 games, the defenseman scored one goal and collected 11 assists. The defenseman is currently committed to Yale University following his junior hockey career.

The USHL Phase One Draft consists of only players born in the year 2000, and will begin today at 7 p.m. The Phase Two Draft will begin tomorrow at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 3rd.
