Muskegon Lumberjacks News Release
MUSKEGON, MI - The Muskegon Lumberjacks are excited to announce that they have acquired forward John Sladic from the Tri-City Storm in exchange for future considerations.
The Novi, Michigan native, currently plays for Victory Honda U18. In 29 games, the 1998 birth year has registered 10 goals and 13 assists. He appeared in one game for Tri-City in the USHL this season, and the Storm had his rights, after drafting him in the 5th round of the 2014 USHL Phase One Draft.
Lumberjacks forward Max Humitz will be sent to the Tri-City Storm as the future considerations portion of the earlier trade. The 1995 birth year joined Muskegon last season, and helped the Lumberjacks make their historic playoff run. Humitz has seven goals and five assists in 33 games this season.
The Muskegon Lumberjacks organization would like to thank Max Humitz for his commitment and effort, and wish him luck for the remainder of his junior hockey career, before attending Lake Superior State University next season.
The Muskegon Lumberjacks (14-16-4) will look to rebound next weekend when they host the Bloomington Thunder (21-12-4) for a pair of games. Friday, the Lumberjacks will feature their Dollar Beer and Dollar Dog night. Saturday, Muskegon will host their College Night. Puck drop for both games will be at 7:15 p.m.
