Louis, Sikura Headline 11 Additions to Training Camp Roster

ROCKFORD, Ill - The Chicago Blackhawks announced on Saturday they have assigned the following players to the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs: Defensemen Andrew Campbell, Dennis Gilbert and Luc Snuggerud and forwards Matheson Iacopelli, Graham Knott, Anthony Louis, Jordan Schroeder and Tyler Sikura.

In addition, forwards Radovan Bondra and Terry Broadhurst, and goaltender Matt Tomkins have been released from their Professional Tryout (PTO) Agreements and will report to Rockford.

Campbell, 30, completed his 10th season in the AHL in 2017-18, notching six points (2g, 4a) in 60 games while serving as captain for the Tucson Roadrunners. The 6-4, 208-lbs defenseman was originally selected by Los Angeles in the third round (74th overall) of the 2008 NHL Draft and has picked up two assists in 42 career NHL games between the Kings (2013-14), Arizona (2014-15) and Toronto (2015-16).

Gilbert, 21, helped Notre Dame to a regular-season championship and an appearance in the Frozen Four last year after collecting 10 points (4g, 6a) in 39 games with the Irish. The 6-2, 199-lbs blueliner, who was named the Hockey East's Best Defenseman in 2016-17, was originally selected by Chicago in the third round (91st overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft.

Snuggered, 23, tallied five goals and 12 assists in 2017-18 while being limited by injury to 40 AHL games. The 6-0, 184-lbs defenseman was selected by Chicago in the fifth round (141st overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft.

Iacopelli, 24, spent the majority of the 2017-18 season with the IceHogs, tallying 19 points (11g, 8a) and a +7 rating in 50 AHL games. The 6-2, 207-lbs forward was originally selected by Chicago in the third round (83rd overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft, and prior to signing with the IceHogs, led Western Michigan in scoring with 20 goals during his sophomore year in 2016-17.

Knott, 21, made his professional debut last year, tallying nine points (4g, 5a) while skating in all but six of Rockford's 76 games in 2017-18. The 6-3, 191-lbs forward was originally being selected by Chicago in the second round (54th overall) of 2015 NHL Draft and capped his stint in Juniors by leading Windsor to the 2017 Memorial Cup championship.

Louis, 23, completed his first full professional season with the IceHogs last year and led the team in scoring with 44 points during the regular season. The 5-7, 151-lbs forward is an Illinois native and was originally selected by his hometown Blackhawks in the sixth round (181st overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft.

Schroeder, 27, split the 2017-18 season between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Cleveland Monsters, combining for 36 points (14g, 22a) in 48 AHL games and picking up a goal and an assist in 21 NHL contests. The 5-9, 184-lbs forward was originally a first-round selection (22nd overall) by Vancouver in the 2009 NHL Draft and has skated in 165 NHL games during his pro career.

Sikura, 26, was named the IceHogs Most Valuable Player of the 2017-18 campaign after leading the team with his +24 plus/minus rating and ranking second with 23 goals. The 6-0, 195-lbs forward matched Rockford's all-time goal streak last year with markers in five straight games and also set the club's record for most road goals in one season with his 18 tallies in road games in 2017-18.

Bondra, 21, signed a one-year AHL contract extension with the IceHogs on April 11, 2018 and enters the season having skated in five career AHL games with Rockford and 11 ECHL contests with the Indy Fuel. The 6-5, 221-lbs forward was originally selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in fifth round (151st overall) of 2015 NHL Draft.

Broadhurst, 28, spent most of the 2017-18 season with the Cleveland Monsters, accumulating 32 points (13g, 19a) in 49 games. The 5-11, 162-lbs forward began his professional career in Rockford and returns to the IceHogs with 59 points (21g, 38a) in 112 games with the Hogs from 2011-14.

Tomkins, 24, made his professional debut last season and spent the majority of the year with the ECHL's Indy Fuel where recorded an 11-9-2 record with a 3.47 GAA and .912 save percentage in 25 appearances. The 6-3, 206-lbs goaltender was originally selected by Chicago in the seventh round (199th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft and enters the 2018-19 campaign having seen action in eight career AHL contests with the IceHogs.

The IceHogs Training Camp roster now stands at 38 players (23 forwards, 10 defensemen and five goaltenders).
