Los Angeles Lakers Re-Assign Morris and Sacre to NBA D-League Affiliate Los Angeles D-Fenders

NEW YORK, April 3, 2013 - The Los Angeles Lakers today re-assigned Darius Morris and Robert Sacre to the Los Angeles D-Fenders, the Lakers' NBA Development League affiliate. The assignments are the record 168th and 169th of the 2012-13 NBA and NBA D-League seasons. Morris and Sacre are among the record 56 NBA players to have been assigned to the NBA D-League this season.

Morris (6-4, 190, Michigan) has played in 45 games this season for the Lakers, averaging 4.2 points, 1.6 assists and 1.2 rebounds. Morris returns to the D-Fenders having played in one previous game on assignment, scoring 21 points and grabbing six rebounds in 36 minutes.

Sacre (7-0, 260, Gonzaga) has appeared in 31 games for the Lakers this season, averaging 1.4 points, 1.1 rebounds and 6.5 minutes. He has played in six games for the D-Fenders during his previous assignments, averaging 11.0 points, 8.8 rebounds and 32.8 minutes.

Both players are expected to join the D-Fenders today and be available when the team hosts the Canton Charge on tonight at 10 p.m. ET.
