WUERFEL PARK - The Traverse City Beach Bums, the 2015 Frontier League Champions, are excited to announce they'll be hosting a tasting event on Black Friday at Wuerfel Park. Local beers, meads, spirits and wines will be featured from 11am-6pm. There is no admission at the door, but people will be able to buy bottles of their favorite beverages after sampling.
Participants include Short's Brewing Company, Black Star Farms, Bonobo Winery, Grand Traverse Distillery and St. Ambrose Cellars. Patrons must be at least 21 years of age to consume alcohol. There will be non-alcoholic beverages available as well as taxi service provided by Chippewa Cab.
The tasting event will take place inside the multi-purpose batting cage facility at Wuerfel Park and is part of a variety of events. Along with the tastings, there is a Fun Run, merchandise discounts and some major announcements concerning promotions for next season.

The Beach Bums begin defense of their championship Friday May 15th at Southern Illinois. The home opener at Wuerfel Park is Friday May 22nd vs. Joliet.
The Traverse City Beach Bums are the 2015 Frontier League Champions and will be playing their 11th season of professional baseball in Northern Michigan starting May 2016. All home games are played at Wuerfel Park, a state of the art ballpark located in Blair Township, MI. The Beach Bums business offices are open from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday. Sponsorships, Season Tickets, Group packages, patio tables and suites are all available for the 2016 season.
