Lipon to Canada's National Junior Team Selection Camp

Kamloops, BC - Kamloops Blazers 19-year-old forward JC Lipon has been named one of 37 players to Canada's U-20 National Junior Team selection camp which will be held in Calgary starting December 10th and concluding December 13th.

Lipon has had a tremendous start to the WHL season with 22 goals, 33 assists and 55 points in 31 games this season. Lipon is tied with his line mate, Colin Smith, for the WHL lead in scoring.

The undrafted Regina native is the first Blazer to be invited to Canada's U-20 National Junior Team selection camp since goaltender Devan Dubnyk played for the team in 2006.

Lipon's international experience includes suiting up for Team West at the 2010 U-17 World Challenge. The 6'0" 183lb forward finished the tournament with five assists in five games.

Hockey Canada will choose 22 players to represent Canada at the 2013 U-20 World Junior Championship which will be held in Ufa, Russia from December 26th - January 4th.
