It's another great weekend of BC Lions football action with a crucial matchup against the Ottawa REDBLACKS on deck. Fans are encouraged to take some extra time on their way down to the game on Saturday and enjoy the BC Lions Tailgate Party presented by Nissan starting at 5:00 pm on Terry Fox Plaza. In addition to the unique tailgating experience that only football offers, there's plenty for families too with face painting and inflatable games.

Live music on the plaza will be provided courtesy of The Day Trippers along with a performance by the Felions. Early-bird food and beverage pricing is also in effect inside BC Place from 6:00 to 6:30 pm.

Back by popular demand, the club is very pleased to present an Amacon Halftime performance by the University of Washington Husky Marching Band. Having entertained hundreds of thousands of fans as one the top marching bands in the United States, the Huskies are a must see for football fans of all ages.

Game Overview The BC Lions (8-4) look to get back in the win column this week versus a tough Ottawa club as the two clash on Saturday night at BC Place. The second-place Lions are in the midst of a heated West Division race for a home field playoff spot while the REDBLACKS (6-5-1) cling to a single point lead atop the East Division standings.

Quarterback Jonathon Jennings and his fellow Leos burst out of the gates in their outing against the Edmonton Eskimos last week as he hooked up with receiver Emmanuel Arceneaux on a pair of majors and an early 14-0 first-half lead. Unable to hold on late in the game however, the Lions lost a tough one 27-23 and need to bounce back with a full 60-minute effort on Saturday night.

Ottawa rolls into town following a 29-12 win over Toronto last Friday and look to avenge a last-minute home loss to the Lions back in August. Quarterback Trevor Harris along with speedsters Chris Williams and Ernest Jackson have been a dangerous combination for opposing defenses and the Lions will have their hands full with an Ottawa team in a battle of their own for supremacy out east.

The stretch run is here and the Lions begin a menu of four home games over the next six weeks. Time to feast. -30- About the BC Lions Football Club The BC Lions Football Club is Vancouver's and British Columbia's most successful professional sports organization with six Grey Cup wins: 1964, 1985, 1994, 2000, 2006 and 2011.
