Lions fans get 'covered' for the 2007 home opener

(Vancouver) The 2006 Grey Cup champion BC Lions and the voice of the Black and Orange, TEAM 1040 are looking for a fan with an artist's touch and an eye for creativity just in time for the 2007 home opener versus the Edmonton Eskimos on July 6th at BC Place.

Beginning today, Lions fans are invited to submit original artwork to the club with a chance to be featured on the first-edition cover of the BC Lions Game Day Magazine to be sold at the club's first home game of the 2007 regular season.

A historic 13-win 2006 regular season capped off with the fifth Grey Cup championship in team history, 10 West Division All-Stars, five Most Outstanding Player selections - these are a few of the Lions' recent achievements and themes that aspiring designers should keep in mind when creating their artwork. The original pieces can also include images of Lions players and coaches, Felions and Lions logos - the possibilities are limited only by the imagination!

The winning artist will have his or her artwork featured on the first-edition cover of the BC Lions Game Day Magazine to be sold on July 6th as well as featured on the home page of the Lions official website, bclions.com. In addition, the lucky fan will be provided with keepsake copies of their winning entry.

Please visit the 'Fan Cover' page at the BC Lions Football Club website at bclions.com for required specifications and detailed information on artwork submission. Entries must be received no later than Monday, June 4th, 2007 to be considered eligible.
