(LONDON, Ontario) - Wednesday night at Budweiser Gardens in front of 7,240, the London Lightning beat the Niagara River Lions 115-94.
Ryan Anderson ended the night with a double-double, collecting 23 points,10 rebounds and five assists.
Stephen Maxwell also had a double-double (18 points, 12 rebounds).
The Lightning opened up the game on an 11-0 run and led the entire 48 minutes.
Akeem Scott dished the ball effectively, finishing with 11 assists.
"I feel like the last 24 hours we had some good practices, we had some good approach, we had a really good start, the ball goes in a little bit," said coach Kyle Julius. "That was a good win for us, they executed well, they played together, individuals made unbelievable plays from Akeem Scott's steals and outlets to Ryan's shots and getting tough rebounds to Stephen's dunks."
The Lightning now head out on a four-game road trip to the east coast starting Friday night against the Saint John Mill Rats.
London's next home game is Saturday, Apr. 16 against the Orangeville A's. Tickets can be purchased through the Budweiser Gardens box office or online.
