London Lightning News Release

(ST. CATHARINES, Ontario) -- Thursday night at the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines, the London Lightning beat the Niagara River Lions 114-102.

London's record is now 15-4, the best in the NBLC.

Seven Lightning players finished with double digits in points: Nick Okorie (17), Garrett Williamson (17), Ryan Anderson (16), Akeem Wright (16), Chad Posthumus (15), Warren Ward (11), and Stephen Maxwell (11).

The Lightning trailed for much of the first half but regained their composure, outscoring the River Lions by 10 points in the third quarter en route to their second victory in a row.

"I'm pleased with the effort and concentration tonight. We started to get more stops earlier tonight than we did last night," said coach Kyle Julius. "One of the key things we've been working on is getting better ball movement and getting the guys to buy into that. Tonight, I thought we did a good job of that."

London now gets a week off before they host the Windsor Express Thursday, Feb. 18 at Budweiser Gardens.

Tickets are available through the Budweiser Gardens box office or online.
