(LONDON, Ontario) - Saturday night at Budweiser Gardens, in front of 7,817 people, the London Lightning lost to the Orangeville A's 106-103.
Both Akeem Wright (17 points, 10 rebounds) and Nick Evans (16 points, 10
rebounds) finished with double-doubles. Nick Okorie had 14 points and eight assists.
London's record is now 17-8.
"We're working on certain things day in and day out and it's tough to get a complete buy-in," said coach Kyle Julius after the game.
At halftime, the United Way London-Middlesex announced they reached their fundraising goal of $9.1-million.
The Lightning's next game is on Friday in St. Catharines when they face the Niagara River Lions. Their next home game is Saturday, Mar. 19 against the Halifax Hurricanes. The team will be in custom purple jerseys for the annual Shine the Light on Women Abuse game in support of the London Abused Women's Centre.
