Lightning Assign Twenty-One Players to Admirals

TAMPA BAY, Fla. - The Tampa Bay Lightning, NHL parent club of the Norfolk Admirals, have assigned 21 players to the Admirals, Lightning Vice President and General Manager Steve Yzerman announced today.
Forwards Alex Berry, Mitch Fadden, Stefano Giliati, Alex Hutchings, Niklas Persson and James Wright; defensemen Mark Barberio, Radko Gudas, Scott Jackson, Kevin Quick and Ty Wishart; and goaltenders Jaroslav Janus and Dustin Tokarski have been assigned to Norfolk.
In addition, forwards Mike Angelidis, Mitch Fritz, Blair Jones, Juraj Simek and Paul Szczechura along with defenseman Vladimir Mihalik have been placed on waivers by the Lightning for the purpose of being assigned to Norfolk.
Finally, forwards Matt Fornataro and Tim Marks were released from their Lightning tryouts and will report to the Admirals after signing AHL Standard Players Contracts earlier in the off-season.
Admirals Training Camp will begin this week at Norfolk Scope Arena. More details are forthcoming about free agent invites to training camp and a schedule in the coming days.
