Lightning Assign Pierre-Cedric Labrie and Brendan Mikkelson to Syracuse for Conditioning

Syracuse, NY- The Tampa Bay Lightning have assigned forward Pierre-Cedric Labrie and defenseman Brendan Mikkelson to the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League for a conditioning assignment, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced today. Additionally, the Crunch have recalled goaltender Pat Nagle from the Florida Everblades of the ECHL.

Mikkelson, 25, has played in two games with the Lightning so far this season, registering an assist and a plus-two rating. The Regina, Saskatchewan native has appeared in 183 career games in the AHL with the Abbotsford Heat, Toronto Marlies, Iowa Chops and Portland Pirates, recording 18 goals and 46 assists.

Labrie, 26, has skated in three games this season with the Lightning, recording five penalty minutes. The Baie-Comeau, Quebec native appeared in 32 games earlier this season with the Crunch, notching eight goals and 13 points to go along with 74 penalty minutes.

Nagle, 25, has played in 25 games with the Everblades this season. Nagle has a .905 save percentage and a 3.09 GAA. The goalie has appeared in 70 career ECHL contests with the Everblades, including six games during the 2011-12 playoffs.

Mikkelson, Labrie and Nagle are expected to be available when the Crunch travel to Binghamton to play the Senators on Friday, Feb. 15. The club's next home game is Wednesday, Feb. 20 against the Toronto Marlies.
