Lettieri Signs with New York Rangers

Lincoln, Neb. - Lincoln Stars alum Vinni Lettieri signed a two-year, entry-level deal with the New York Rangers, the Rangers announced on Monday.
Lettieri will join the Hartford Wolf Pack (American Hockey League) following a four-year career at the University of Minnesota where he recorded 83 points in 149 games. The 5'10" 181 pound forward recently completed a breakout season with the Gophers, posting 19 goals and 18 assists through 38 games. He had 64 points in 76 games with the Stars from 2011-2013.
The professional signing marks the fourth of the month for the Stars as Zach Aston-Reese (Pittsburgh Penguins), Dominik Shine (Grand Rapids Griffins) and Riley Bourbonnais (Wheeling Nailers) recently completed similar deals.
