Lexington pitchers Jace Vines and Garrett Davila teamed up for a four- hit shutout as the Legends blanked the Columbia Fireflies 4-0 Saturday night in Columbia. Chris DeVito hit a two-run homer for Lexington in the first inning, and Khalil Lee did the same in the second, providing all the scoring.

Vines (1-2) worked the first six innings and got the win. He allowed three hits, walked one batter and struck out four. Davila relieved at the start of the seventh and finished the game. He gave up one hit, struck out three and did not walk a batter.

Kort Peterson singled with two outs in the top of the first, and DeVito followed with his second home run of the season. The homer extended DeVito's hitting streak to eight games. In the second, also with two outs, Ricky Aracena singled and advanced to third on an errant pickoff throw before Lee homered to right center field, his third of the year.
