Behind starter Nolan Watson and reliever Gabe Cramer, the Lexington Legends shut out the Hagerstown Suns 1-0 in the first game of a doubleheader at Whitaker Bank Ballpark Sunday.
The Legends scored the game's only run in the bottom of the first inning. With one out, Roman Collins singled, stole second, and came home on a two-out single by Brandon Dulin.
Watson pitched the first five innings. He allowed three hits, walked two batters and struck out four. Cramer worked the sixth and seventh innings and gave up two hits.
South Atlantic League doubleheader games are a regulation seven innings in length.
