Left Wing Bickell Recalled To Blackhawks

Rockford, Ill. - Chicago Blackhawks General Manager Stan Bowman announced on Wednesday that the National Hockey League club has recalled Bryan Bickell from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.
Additionally, Rockford has recalled goalie Joe Palmer from loan to the Texas Brahmas (CHL), Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced on Wednesday.
Bickell, 24, has 31 points (16g-15a) in 65 games with the IceHogs in 2009-10. He has skated in 14 games with the Blackhawks, recording two goals and an assist. In 21 career NHL games (2007-10), all with Chicago, he has four goals and one assist.
He has 109 points (51g-58a) in 223 career AHL games between Rockford and the Norfolk Admirals (2006-10). The Orono, Ontario native was selected #41 overall (round 2) by the Blackhawks in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
Palmer, 22, appeared in 32 games with the Brahmas in his first professional season. He finished with a record of 13-10-4, a goals against average of 2.75 and .914 save percentage. This is his second career recall to the IceHogs.
The Yorkville, New York native was selected #96 overall (round 4) by the Blackhawks in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Before turning pro, he skated in 68 games with The Ohio State University (NCAA), finishing with a 25-34-8 record, a 3.04 GAA and .889 save percentage. He signed an AHL contract with Rockford on Aug. 20, 2009.
