Johnstown, Pa - Behind a perfect performance from Johnstown Tomahawks' goaltender, Britt League, the Tomahawks were able to beat the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights, 3-0 on Saturday night at 1ST SUMMIT ARENA @ Cambria County War Memorial.

The first period saw limited shots by both teams but that didn't stop the Tomahawks from scoring twice.

First, Christian Gorscak scored his second goal of the season, which was his second goal of the weekend as well. The assist went to Andrew Andary at 17:41.

Then, just before the buzzer sounded, Samuel Solensky put the Tomahawks up two with a power play goal. The assists went to Andy Nedeljkovic and Toby Sengvongxay at 19:58.

After the first period the Tomahawks lead the Knights, 2-0.

Johnstown controlled most of the play in the second keeping the puck in their offensive zone for most of the period, but Knights goalie, David Tomeo, was able to come up with a few key saves to keep Johnstown from adding to their lead.

Johnstown and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton went into the third period with the score still 2-0, Johnstown.

In the third period, both teams exchanged chances but neither team could find the back of the net until the Knights pulled their goalie for the late man-advantage. While 6-on-5, it was Johnstown's Roman Kraemer that was able to seal the win by scoring an empty netter. The goal came at 18:45 and was assisted by Andrew Quetell.
