Katy, Texas - June 21, 2006 - The 2006 National Indoor Football League Pacific South Division Champion Katy Copperheads are announcing details concerning their First Annual Fan Appreciation Day, hosted at the Merrell Center in Katy. The event will take place on Saturday, June 24 during the last regular season home game versus the West Palm Beach Phantoms at 7:05 p.m.
Copperhead Fan Appreciation Day will correspond with the Copperheads preparation for the 2006 NIFL playoffs. It will showcase a full slate of events, including autograph sessions with notable National Football League players during the on-field post game. Tailgating events, giveaways and early bird discounts at the Copperhead's on-site memorabilia and fan retail store will also be available. Discounted Items must be purchased before kickoff.
"This is our chance to show our Katy Copperheads and Professional Indoor Football fans that we appreciate their support," said Bryan Blake, Copperheads Owner & Head Coach. "Fan Appreciation Day is a colorful, fun way to spend part of the game, and I hope everyone takes some time to come by and enjoy the festivities."
Everyone who enters the doors will receive a free pair of Katy Copperhead Thunder Sticks. Also, the first 50 fans will receive a 2006 Copperhead Player Autographed Mini-Poster Photo courtesy of Regency Health Services. Another 50 fans will be selected during the game to receive collectable photos, also courtesy of the Katy Copperheads and Regency Health Services.
Katy Copperhead fans will have several chances at special t-shirt giveaways and other opportunities at the Merrell Center during the game. Katy Copperhead Players and cheerleaders will also be attending the pre game to greet and entertain fans prior to the game. The team will be reserving playoff seats for the July 10th game versus Wyoming or Beaumont. Fans who reserve their seats Saturday will receive a $5.00 discount on each adult ticket purchased.
The Katy Copperheads will play a 14 game schedule in 2006 consisting of seven home and seven away games. The remaining home games will be played in the Leonard E. Merrell Center on the following dates:
- Saturday, June 24th, 2006 (West Palm Beach)
- Monday, July 10th, 2006 (Home Playoff Game)
