Law Makes Changes, Four For $40 Ticket Package

LAREDO, Texas –The Laredo Law made several player changes today as they gear up for their home opener this Friday night. The Law was assigned offensive-defensive lineman Rodrick Kelly and defensive specialist Chris Torrillo by the arenafootball2 league office. Laredo’s home opener is against Tennessee Valley this Friday night at the Laredo Entertainment Center. Call the Law ticket office at (956)-726-GAME (4263) or log onto www.laredolaw.com.

Kelly, who played his college football at Northeastern Oklahoma, was acquired in a trade with the Manchester Wolves. Kelly is 6’6” 270-pounds. He participated in the 2001 Cactus Bowl for NCAA Division II all-stars. Kelly signed an NFL contract with the Washington Redskins.

“Rodrick will help with our pass rush,” said Law head coach Scot Maynard. “He has to come in quickly and learn our systems, but once he does he is going to provide us with a boost.”

Torrillo, who played his college football at Florida State University, was also acquired in a trade with the Manchester Wolves. Torrillo is 5’11” 195 pounds. He played one game with the af2 Lafayette Roughnecks in 2001.

Laredo activated wide receiver-defensive back Michael Wakefield from the short term injured reserve.

The Law placed wide receiver-defensive back Terrance Minor and defensive specialist Aaron Fletcher on the short term injured reserve. Wide receiver-defensive back C.J. Richardson was reassigned.
