Laval’s Miguel Robede selected 1st Overall

Defensive lineman Miguel Robede from the 2004 Vanier Cup Champion Laval Rouge et Or was selected first overall today by the Calgary Stampeders in the 2005 CFL Canadian Draft. The 6’3”, 288-lb Montreal native was an All-Star in 2003 and 2004 and attended the 2005 CFL Evaluation Camp in mid-March. He attended Laval after a year at the University of Miami. Below are his evaluation camp results:

2005 EVALUATION CAMP RESULTS:

Bench (225 lbs): 17

Flex (inches): 19.00, 19.25

Broad Jump: 8.064

40 – 20 yards: 2.90, 2.85

40 – 40 yards: 5.12, 5.08

T-Test: 4.65, 4.65
