Las Vegas' Miller Named Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week

April 3, 2012 - ECHL (ECHL) News Release

PRINCETON, N.J. - Adam Miller of the Las Vegas Wranglers is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for March 26-31. It is the third time in his career that Miller has won the weekly honor.

The 27-year-old left wing scored three goals and added four assists for seven points last week as the Wranglers went 2-0-1 in the final week of the season.

Miller opened the week with three points (1g-2a) in a 4-2 win against Alaska on Tuesday and followed that up with a power-play goal in a 6-4 win against Colorado on Friday. He ended the week with another three-point effort (1g-2a) in a 4-3 shootout loss against the Eagles on Saturday.

A native of Livonia, Mich., Miller led the Wranglers, and finished second in the ECHL, with 84 points (32g-52a). Miller, who was named to the All-ECHL Second Team for the second time in his career, was fourth in the league with 32 goals.

Miller has 222 points (81g-141a) in 206 career regular-season games with Las Vegas and has added 32 points (9g-23a) in 43 career Kelly Cup Playoff games. He has also appeared in 10 career games with Milwaukee of the American Hockey League, tallying one goal.

On behalf of Adam Miller, a case of pucks will be donated to a Las Vegas youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 25,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.

Runner Up: Darren Archibald, Kalamazoo (3 gp, 3g, 2a, 5 pts.).
