Augusta Lynx News Release

Augusta, GA - The ECHL announced on Tuesday that Lynx goaltender Dave McKee and forward Ryan Lang were named Runners Up for RBK Hockey Goaltender of the Week and In Glas Co Player of the Week, respectively.

In just his first full season as a pro, McKee has continued to impress, going 3-1-0 last week with a 2.94 GAA and .906 save percentage with wins over Gwinnett, Charlotte, and South Carolina. Signed as a free agent by the Anaheim Ducks, McKee chose to forego his senior season at Cornell University after a record-setting career there and turn pro. Thus far he has posted a 7-2-0 record to go with a 3.33 GAA and .905 save percentage in 11 appearances.

Lang returns to the Lynx for his second season, also his second wearing the captain's "C". Last week the 26-year-old center and wing recorded four goals and six points to go with a +3 rating over five games. His best game of the week came in Charlotte on November 11, where he scored twice and added an assist in Augusta's 4-1 win.

After picking up a 4-3 shootout win Tuesday night over the South Carolina Stingrays the Lynx now head out to Beaumont, Texas for a pair of games with the Wildcatters Friday at 8:35 pm and Saturday at 8:05 pm. The Classic Stucco and Stone Pre-Game Show begins one half-hour before faceoff on your Home for Lynx Hockey, NEWSTALKSPORTS 1630.

The Lynx next home game will be November 21 against the Columbia Inferno at 7:35 pm. Featuring Turkey Bowling and a non-perishable food drive to benefit the Golden Harvest Food Bank, it will be The Metro Spirit Two-For-Tuesday and Family Four Pack night.
