The Week Ahead:

Omaha travels to Green Bay for the only meetings of the season with the Gamblers. Green Bay comes into the weekend sitting one point back from the fourth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Youngstown (65 pts) currently holds the final playoff spot. The Gamblers start the weekend with the USHL's defending Forward (Casey Mittlestadt), Defenseman (Connor Mackey), and Goalie of the Week (Maksim Zhukov).

Last season Green Bay swept the two-game series on March 11 and 12 at Ralston Arena. Defenseman Mike Joyaux was one of only two Lancers to find the back of the net during the weekend.

The match ups with Green Bay with Green Bay are the fourth and fifth consecutive contests against Eastern Conference teams. The Lancers are 7-8-0-0 against the East this season. Green Bay has played Western Conference foes 14 times this season, posting a record of 9-3-1-1.

Getting Win Number One:

Netminder Ryan Keane made the most of his first start at Ralston Arena on Saturday night, making 30 saves en route to his first USHL victory. Saturday night was Keane's fifth appearance and fourth start of the season. Each of the netminder's first three starts came on the road, with two coming in Waterloo. Keane became the fourth goalie to record a win for the Lancers this season joining Peter Thome, Jacob Acton, and Tommy Nappier.

The 2016-17 season is the first time since 2008-09 that the Lancers have had more than three goalies notch wins. Five different players picked up wins in the 2008-09 season (Hopper, Lazaruk, Teglia, Sullivan, Saf).

Two More to Play:

Saturday's game marked the Lancers final home game in March, and 28th home game this season. The Lancers have two more home games remaining, both on Saturday nights. Omaha will take on the Dubuque Fighting Saints on April 1, before hosting the Lincoln Stars on Fan Appreciation Night to end the season.
