Omaha Lancers News Release
Ralston, NE - On Saturday night the Omaha Lancers partnered with Methodist Health System to raise over just over $15,000 for Leap-For-A-Cure.
The team surpassed the goal of $10,000 set to be raised from the specialty jersey auction, as well as the Pass the Bucket campaign during the first intermission. By surpassing the goal of $10,000 all players, as well as coaches, and select staff members had their heads shaved on the ice after the game concluded.
Leap-For-A-Cure is a foundation that is close to the Lancers after it was founded by the family of former Lancer employee Heather Roberts. Founded in 2009, Leap-For-A-Cure works to help fund research, treatments and raise awareness for brain cancer in the Omaha area.
