Ralston, NE - The Omaha Lancers faced the red-hot Sioux Falls Stampede at Ralston Arena. The Lancers headed into the matchup winning 4 of the past 5 games and a big win against Team USA last Saturday. The last time these two teams played, Sioux Falls won outright, 7-2 in October. In the first period, Sioux Falls Nolan Walker got on the board early snipping the puck past Vinnie Purpura's shoulder. Nick Perbix had the puck on the right circle and dropped it to the middle and O'Neill picked it up and sent it past Mikhail Berdin to tie up the game 1-1.
After a scoreless second period, The Lancers got two goals on the board within the opening minute of the third period. Brendan Furry snipped the puck pat Berdin from the right circle twenty-five seconds into the frame. Twenty seconds later, Travis Mitchell scored on Berdin to build on the lead. Then on the penalty kill, Noah Cates and Brendan Furry went to work when Furry assisted Cates on the game-winning goal. The Lancers defeated the Stampede, 4-1. Purpura stopped 15 of 16 shots.
