Omaha Lancers News Release
Ralston, NE - The Omaha Lancers announced several roster changes on Friday morning. Omaha has added Czech forward Filip Suchy, traded defenseman Marcus Bjork to Topeka (NAHL), and activated Ben Lown and Brian Matthews off of Injured Reserve.
Suchy joins the Lancers from HC Plzen. In 43 games for HC Plzen U20 last season the forward recorded 63 points (29g, 34a). His 63 point total led the league. In two years with HC Plzen U20 Suchy recorded 105 points (41g, 64a) in 87 games. Suchy has suited up for his country representing the Czech Republic every year since 2012-13. Last season Suchy appeared in 10 games for the Czech Republic U19 team tallying 1 assist. Defenseman Marcus Bjork was traded to Topeka (NAHL) for cash considerations to make room for Suchy.
