On a full count, Abercrombie hit a bloop RBI single, scoring Baker and advancing McCann to third. Josh Mazzola slid in safe under the tag of RedHawks second baseman Maikol Gonzalez for an RBI double that increased the lead to 5-0.

Jordan Ebert singled to right and advanced to second on a single by Baker. Josh Romanski broke open the game further, giving the Fish an 8-0 lead with a two-run single to right centrefield. Mazzola increased the lead, following up with his second RBI double of the game.

The Fish tacked on their final run in the seventh. Heyman singled, advancing to second on a wild pitch to Ebert. On a catching error by RedHawks' Derrick Foxx, Heyman advanced to third. In his third hit of the afternoon, Baker singled home Heyman and gave the Fish a 10-2 lead.
