Laberge, Dumont-Bouchard and Fiore named the three stars of the week

BOUCHERVILLE - Pascal Laberge, Anthony Dumont-Bouchard and Giovanni Fiore were named today the three stars of the week for February 1 to 8, 2016.

Victoriaville Tigres forward Pascal Laberge, is the first star of the week. In 3 road wins this week, the 17 year-old scored 2 goals, added 5 assists and maintained a +3 rating. He scored the only goal on Thursday in a 1-0 win over the Acadie-Bathurst Titan. Friday in Moncton, he was named the first star as the Tigres beat the Widlcats 5-4 in overtime. Laberge finished the game with a 4-point performance for the second time this season. He now has 48 points in 40 games this season.

Anthony Dumont-Bouchard, Drummondville Voltigeurs goaltender, is the second star. The rookie finished the week with a 1-1 record while maintaining a goals against average of 1.50 and a save percentage of 0.962. In Quebec, on Wednesday, he stopped a 43 shots, personal high, as the Voltigeurs beat the Remparts 5-1. He was named the second star of the game. Friday, he allowed 2 goals on 34 shots in a 3-1 loss to the Gatineau Olympiques.

Right-winger for the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, Giovanni Fiore is the third star of the week. In 2 games, he scored 3 goals, added 2 assists and maintained a +4 rating. He wasn't on the ice for any of the opponent's 10 goals this week. Friday, in an offensive game, which finished 7-6 in overtime for the Charlottetown Islanders, he scored 2 goals on 8 shots and added a helper. Against the Shawinigan Cataractes on Saturday, he scored the game winner in overtime against his old teammates for a 4-3 win. He was also named the first star of the game for a second game in a row. He currently has 43 points in 51 games.
