LA Galaxy to Unveil New Multiuse Sport Court at Boys and Girls Club

CARSON, Calif. (Thursday, February 28, 2013) - Fulfilling a promise made to the Boys and Girls Club of Carson in the week leading up to MLS Cup 2012, the LA Galaxy will unveil a new multiuse Galaxy-branded Sport Court at the Club. The Sport Court, a colorful outdoor playing surface that is durable and impervious to weather, was the biggest donation the LA Galaxy Foundation had promised to the Boys and Girls Club last year. Additionally, the Galaxy have committed to providing to 12 months of soccer instruction to the Club while also donating new soccer equipment.

Tomorrow, Friday, March 1, two days before the LA Galaxy kickoff the 2013 MLS season, LA Galaxy President Chris Klein, midfielder Colin Clark and defenders A.J. DeLaGarza and Todd Dunivant will be on hand at the Boys and Girls Club of Carson to unveil the new Sport Court.

After the ceremony, former LA Galaxy forward Clint Mathis will lead a group of 75 children of the Boys and Girls Club through a soccer clinic.
