Kyrou Joins Wolves

GLENVIEW, Ill. - The Chicago Wolves announced on Tuesday that forward Jordan Kyrou has been reassigned to the club by the St. Louis Blues.

The 18-year-old just finished his third season in the Ontario Hockey League with the Sarnia Sting. This season, Kyrou led the Sting with 30 goals and 64 assists for 94 points. He was 32 points ahead of the second-best scorer on his team. His totals also ranked him sixth in scoring among league skaters.

During his OHL career, Kyrou has skated in 194 regular-season games and collected 181 points (60G, 121A). He has helped his team to the postseason all three years and appeared in 16 games and averaged a point per game (3G, 13A).

Kyrou was selected by the St. Louis Blues in the second round, 35th overall, of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. He signed an entry-level deal with the Blues on July 27, 2016.

The Toronto native has represented Canada in international competition three times. In November 2014, he skated for Canada White in the World Under-17 Challenge in Sarnia, Ontario.

In 2016, Kyrou was a member of Team Canada for the Under-18 World Championship in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He also earned a gold medal with Canada at the 2016 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament.

Kyrou will be available when the Wolves face the Iowa Wild on Saturday (April 8) at Allstate Arena. The game is set to begin at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on CW50 as the Wolves host their annual Military Appreciation Night, presented by Sears Home Services.

On Sunday (April 9), Chicago wraps its season series with the Rockford IceHogs. The Illinois Lottery Cup clash starts at 4 p.m. and will air on CW50. The first 5,000 fans to enter the arena will receive a cellphone wallet, presented by DecisionOne Dental Partners.
