Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release

DUBUQUE, Iowa - Jordan Kuhns, Director of Broadcasting & Media Relations, and "Voice of the Saints" for the past three seasons, has accepted the position of Director of Media Relations & Broadcaster with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits of the ECHL. He will join the organization immediately, and begin calling games starting with the 2018-2019 season.

"I came to Dubuque seeking to live out my dream of becoming a hockey broadcaster, and this step in Dubuque was the first step in that journey," Kuhns said. "The Fighting Saints organization, the fans, and the community, accepted me every step of the way, and I have nothing but sincere and heartfelt thanks and gratitude for all of you as I take the next step in my career."

"I am excited to return to the Palmetto State, and begin the next phase of my journey in Greenville."

Kuhns adds more USHL flair to the position in Greenville, as he takes over the job following fellow USHL alum Brian Tosti, who served as the Director of Broadcasting/Media Relations with the Bloomington Thunder for two seasons.

Kuhns has been the radio voice of the club during three great seasons and three Clark Cup playoff runs on Dubuque's Super Hits 106, including a run to the Clark Cup Final during the 2015-16 season, and the Eastern Conference Final during the 2016-17 season. He was also part of an exclusive team of media members that represented the USHL as part of its coverage at the 2016 NHL Draft in Buffalo, and the 2017 NHL Draft in Chicago.

"Jordan was a great team ambassador over his time with the Fighting Saints," said President of Business Operations, Nick Shane. "We are thankful for all of his contributions to the team during his time here and are excited to watch his continued growth in the industry."

"The Fighting Saints are proud about advancing not just players and coaches that come through our house, but the talented front office staff as well," said Katie Kenne, VP of Business Operations. "One thing is for sure Jordan will always be a Saint 4 Life."

Kuhns guided the team's media presence throughout the last three seasons, which has included creating and executing the campaign to announce the Fighting Saints' ownership change in June of 2018, and the handoff of the coaching reins from Jason Lammers to Oliver David. Over the past two seasons, Kuhns began producing and generating viral-style marketing videos outlining the organization's major announcements.

Kuhns also served as the face of the Live Like A Saint program, which emphasized character education in schools all throughout the tri-state area, and delivered a message of respect, responsibility, and acceptance to thousands of schoolchildren. Additionally, he served as the master of ceremonies of many team events, including leading record-breaking jersey auctions throughout the last three seasons.

"The Fighting Saints organization has a strong tradition of excellence both on and off the ice, and there is no doubt in my mind that the team will continue to vie for the Clark Cup and do great things in the community," Kuhns said. "I have met some of the most influential and wonderful people in my life here, and it will be truly bittersweet to leave the Key City. I will always be a Saint for life."

Prior to joining the Fighting Saints organization, the Philadelphia area native completed a stellar season with the Lexington County Blowfish of the Coastal Plain League, where he won CPL Broadcaster of the Year, and the team won Organization of the Year in its first season in Lexington after relocating from Columbia.

Prior to that, he was the longtime voice of his alma mater, Millersville University, on the Marauder Sports Broadcasting Network between 2010 and 2014, covering baseball, basketball, football, field hockey and soccer. He also pioneered coverage of Millersville's ice hockey club, and served as the team's first-ever media director and voice for four seasons. He graduated from Millersville cum laude, and as a member of the National Broadcasting Society's honors program, Alpha Epsilon Rho.
