Kuhnhackl and Uher Assigned to Penguins

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced that they have been assigned forwards Tom Kuhnhackl and Domink Uher from the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL) by the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Kuhnkackl, 20, began his rookie season in Wheeling, where has posted one goal over two contests. Selected by Pittsburgh in the fourth round (110th overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, Kuhnhackl skated his last two seasons in the Ontario Hockey League. Originally from Landshut, Germany, Kuhnhackl made 97 total appearances between the Windsor Spitfires and Niagara IceDogs, compiling 47 goals and 50 assists.

Uher, 20, also made his professional debut this season with the Nailers, having appeared in two games. A fifth-round draft pick (144th overall) of Pittsburgh in 2011, Uher played three seasons with the Spokane Chiefs of the Western Hockey League. The Czech Republic-native totaled 144 points (58g-86a) in 181 games for the Chiefs.

The Penguins take the ice for their home opener tonight at 7:05 P.M. against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Season tickets for the Penguins' 14th season in the American Hockey League are on sale now, and available by calling (570) 208-PENS.
