Winston-Salem Dash News Release
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - BB&T Ballpark will host Krispy Kreme's 79th Birthday Fan Fest during the Winston-Salem Dash's game on Wednesday, July 13, at 7 p.m. As a thank you to the community, Krispy Kreme is offering free tickets to the game at three local locations while supplies last.
This limited time offer is available at the Krispy Kreme locations on Stratford Road and University Parkway in Winston-Salem, along with the Clemmons store. Dash fans can enter these Krispy Kreme locations and ask for up to two vouchers per day. No purchase is necessary.
The Dash encourage fans to redeem their vouchers at the Baker Roofing Box Office at BB&T Ballpark, which opens at noon each weekday. The voucher is not a ticket, and seating is based on availability.
The first 1,500 fans through the gates on July 13 will receive a Bolt Bobblehead honoring Krispy Kreme's birthday. During the game, Krispy Kreme will have a Pop-Up Shop and Classic Cars located around the ballpark.
"We are excited to celebrate Krispy Kreme's 79th birthday right here where it all started with our hometown fans in the Winston-Salem area," said Tony Thompson, president and CEO of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. "This year, we've sweetened our hometown birthday celebration by partnering with another Winston-Salem favorite. We look forward to a fun night celebrating 79 years of Krispy Kreme and a Dash victory!"
The community celebration is in honor of one of Winston-Salem's most noteworthy establishments. Vernon Rudolph founded Krispy Kreme in Winston-Salem on July 13, 1937. The first store was located on South Main Street in what is now historic Old Salem, and there are now more than 1,000 stores throughout the world.
This is another exciting event to add to a jam-packed month of July at BB&T Ballpark. The fun begins with the Dash and the City of Winston-Salem's Fourth of July Extravaganza, which will run from 4 p.m. on First Street to an extended fireworks display after the Dash's 7 p.m. game.
