Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets continue to pick up points on the road as they saddled the Mavericks at Missouri Friday night 6-4 in front of 4,438 at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena in Independence, Missouri, for a three-game road point streak and four-game point streak overall (2-0-2).

The Komets erased a 2-1 deficit at the start of the second period with Gabriel Desjardins' second tally of the night at 3:46 before taking a 3-1 lead into the second intermission on Curtis Leonard's first goal of the year at 15:21. The Komets continued their scoring in the third period with markers from Garrett Thompson and Mike Embach for a string of four unanswered goals before Missouri could solve goaltender Keegan Asmundson with their third goal of the night at 16:31. Fort Wayne's Trevor Cheek responded with his second goal of the season at 18:47 to give the Komets a 6-3 lead before Missouri's Reed Seckel capped the evening's scoring with 20 seconds remaining in the match.

Embach added two assists for a three-point night. Shawn Szydlowski and Cody Sol also had two helpers apiece. It was Asmudson's first start and appearance of the year as the third-year pro collected the win making 16 saves on 20 shots. Missouri goaltender Ville Husso the loss in his first decision of the campaign allowing six goals on 36 shots.

The Komets conclude their two-game visit at Missouri tonight with an 8:05pm ET start. After the game the Komets travel to Wichita, Kansas to cap the week with a 5:05pm ET faceoff at the INTURST Bank Arena Sunday.

The Komets will return home after this weekend to host the Quad City Mallards Friday, Nov. 18 at 8pm.

Kids Seat Free Friday, Nov. 18-- Once again this season the Komets feature Kids Seat Free Nights. The next Kids Seat Free Night is Friday, Nov. 18 at 8pm when Quad City visits for the Komets next home game, courtesy Aunt Millie's, Parkview Health and the Komets. Any child under the age of 12 can see the game for free with a full-priced adult ticket purchase.

Friday night Marathon Nights-- Again this year Komet fans can save on their Friday night tickets with Marathon. Fans can earn a buy-one-get-one-free ticket offer with the purchase of three fill-ups at participating Marathon locations. Save with your Marathon Fill-Up Card Friday, Nov. 18 when the Komets face the Mallards.

TIP-A-KOMET Tuesday Nov. 15 at Applebee's-- The Komets invite all fans to the Tip-A-Komet benefit at Applebee's North Clinton location by the Coliseum Tuesday, Nov. 15, from 6:30pm-8pm. Fans have a chance to be served dinner by a Komet player as the entire team will be on-hand for the special night at Applebee's.
