Knights Acquire Brendan Burke from Guelph Storm

London Knights General Manager Basil McRae announced today that the team has traded to acquire the rights to overage goaltender Brendan Burke from the Guelph Storm. In exchange, the Knights trade a 6th round pick in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection to the Storm.

Drafted in the 3rd round of the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft by the Portland Winterhawks, Burke has played in a total of 144 regular season games and 26 playoff games shared between the Winterhawks and Calgary Hitmen. Burke was a part of the Portland Winterhawks' 2013 WHL championship winning team and lead the Winterhawks back to the WHL championship in 2014, losing to eventual Memorial Cup champions the Edmonton Oil Kings. Burke was drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft in the 6th round, 163rd overall. During his career Burke has played in parts of five seasons in the WHL collecting 88 regular season victories a 2.63 GAA and.906 SV%.
