At halftime, motivational speaker, entrepreneur and visionary "Savvy" Savannah Simon will give a performance intended to inspire and uplift the crowd at The Blue Cross Arena. A member of the Mi`kmaq tribe of Elsipogtog First Nation in New Brunswick, she has motivated thousands through her messages of self-healing and empowerment.

Scouting the Knighthawks: Rochester enters the game in search of its first win of the season after hosting the Toronto Rock on Opening Night. That evening, the Knighthawks were led by two-point performances from Quinn Powless (2+0) and rookie Josh Currier (1+1). Wayne Van Every and Joel Matthews also added single tallies, while five-time NLL Goaltender of the Year goalie Matt Vinc made 43 saves. In his first game back with the Knighthawks since the 2012 season, Jarrett Davis dished out one assist. During the opener, five players made their Knighthawks debuts, which included Currier, Van Every, Kyle Jackson, Tyler Ferreira and Luc Magnun. Forward Dan Dawson continued his NLL Ironman streak by playing in his 234th straight game.

Milestone Alert:

- Dan Dawson needs just three points to reach 350 as a Knighthawk.

- Dawson needs eight points to pass Duane Jacobs to move into sixth place on the Knighthawks all-time points list.

- Jarrett Davis needs one assist to reach 150 as a pro.

Scouting the Black Wolves: New England opens its third season in the National Lacrosse League on Saturday night. The Black Wolves are coming off a 10-8 season in which they earned a spot in the East Division Finals. Returning are two-time NLL MVP Shawn Evans and perennial All-Pro Kevin Crowley. Last season, the duo combined for 208 points. In goal, the Black Wolves are backstopped by 2016 NLL Goaltender of the Year Evan Kirk, who last season posted a .789 save percentage and a goals-against of 11.79.

Knighthawks Next Game: After a bye weekend, the Knighthawks will kick off a three-game road stretch on Saturday, Jan. 21 in Saskatoon, as Rochester battles the Saskatchewan Rush at 9:30 p.m. Fans can catch all the action on NLLTV or on 107.3 The Bull.
