Kitchener Rangers Name Frank Hora Team Captain

The Kitchener Rangers have named defenceman Frank Hora the club's 52nd captain in franchise history.
The 20-year-old overager from Cheektowaga, New York was selected by the Rangers in the 8th round, 150th overall in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection.
In his fourth season with the Rangers, Hora has tallied six goals and 63 assists in 190 regular season games played, along with three goals and seven points in 15 career postseason games.
His 63 career assists are the most among all current teammates, and tie him for 33rd all-time among Rangers defencemen.
His 190 regular season games played sits him in sole possession of 18th in number of games played by a Rangers defenceman in team history.
He was awarded the Herchenrader Family Trophy for Best Defensive Ability at the Rangers Awards Ceremony for the past two years.
"It's an amazing honour to be named the captain of the Kitchener Rangers," said Hora. "This is an incredible franchise, which makes today that much more special.
"I hope to be the type of captain that leads by example and works hard every day, and can make the organization proud."
"Frank, in the eyes of his teammates, the staff and management, is the epitome of what it means to be a leader, on and off the ice," said Rangers head coach Jay McKee. "He personifies the culture that is the Kitchener Rangers."
The Rangers have also named defenceman Dylan Di Perna and winger Darby Llewellyn as alternate captains, and will name a third alternate in the coming weeks.
Di Perna, 20, from Woodbridge, Ontario has been a member of the Rangers for parts of four seasons after being acquired in a trade from the Kingston Frontenacs in 2013. Drafted by the Frontenacs in the second round, 23rd overall in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection, Di Perna has played in 238 regular season OHL games (including 172 with the Rangers), registering a total of 16 goals and 45 assists for 61 career points, including playoffs.
Llewellyn, 20, from Ann Arbor, Michigan, was drafted by the Rangers in the fourth round, 71st overall in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection. In his fifth season, he has dressed for 258 regular season games, placing him in a tie for 7th all-time on the list of franchise regular season games played. He has tallied 78 goals and 62 assists for 140 regular season points, and added six goals and 11 point in 16 career playoff games.
